With 24-hour accountability and supervision, residential treatment is ideal for patients needing a safe and structured living environments, providing additional time for stabilization and recovery skill development. Daily groups, individual and family counseling and education/experiential sessions are designed to address physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the disease of addiction. Patients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their disease, laying the foundation for recovery and healing. Active, daily participation in a 12-step fellowship is critical to developing a sober support network a patient can take with them when they leave or inpatient care. Relapse prevention is an important part of every patient’s program, not just those with a history of frequent attempts at sobriety. With a minimum of twenty-eight days recommended, the length of stay is determined on a case-by-case basis.
