At Harbor of Grace Enhanced Recovery Center, we believe that constructive, supportive contact with family during treatment offers both short- and long-term benefits. We set aside Sunday afternoons for family visitation with a few simple guidelines outlined below.
The visitation program will begin in our Clinical Services building located at 433 Girard St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078. All visitors must arrive there no later than 1:00pm on Sundays. If you are going to be late, please call and let us know. Anyone arriving after the end of the orientation will not be permitted to visit unless arrangements have been made ahead of time.
Please remember, we are a treatment center for addiction; if you arrive with alcohol on your breath or appear to be under the influence, you will be asked to leave. If we believe you are too impaired to drive, you must wait several hours or we will call the authorities.
All items brought in for our patients must be left at the Clinical Center on Girard Street to be processed. We will make sure your patient gets them by the end of the day.
There will be a brief presentation/orientation prior to the visit. Expectations will be explained and you will have an opportunity to ask general questions.
At the conclusion of the orientation, you will be asked to proceed to the patients’ residence at 700 Commerce St. or 350 Girard St. We ask that you not take anything into the patient’s residence with you. That includes pocketbooks, purses, cell phones or any kind of medication. Visitors are not permitted in patient bedrooms. Please consider the privacy of your loved one’s roommate.
Our goal is to ensure a safe and healthy atmosphere for your visit. We ask that you work with us in implementing this goal and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
