Detox Services
COMFORT is our goal and instilling HOPE is our mission. FEAR disappears here.
HOPE is our mission
Medically managed removal of drugs or alcohol done in a safe environment by professionally trained providers that are on site daily and supervised by our Triple Board Addiction Psychiatrist. Many of our RN’s are emergency room trained and monitor our detoxing patients 24 hours a day. Our experienced medical team can also provide wound care and are comfortable treating many medically compromised patients that can’t be treated by most conventional treatment centers. Our Medical Team can coordinate directly with Transplant Teams for those patients needing treatment prior to organ transplant.
Harbor of Grace offers private medical rooms with cable TV, comfortable, extra-long, name brand pillow-top mattresses, in softly appointed rooms with beach artwork and background meditation music.
Upon arrival, a thorough medical assessment by a Harbor of Grace physician or Nurse Practitioner, will include blood and urine screening, a thorough history and physical exam, and psychological assessments, which will assist with determining a best strategy to safely detox a patient with pharmacological assistance and IV fluids, which most treatment facilities don’t provide. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of withdrawal symptoms and progress will keep our patients comfortable and safe while preparing them to join the rest of the treatment community. During one’s stay, discussions regarding prescribing psychiatric medications and anti-craving drugs will be had between our psychiatrist and our patient.
TREATMENT OF CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS
Many patients require specialized care for co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety and Bipolar disorder. After a baseline has been established, our psychiatric team will immediately meet with those that need assistance with treating these disorders and medicate accordingly. The patient will be followed continuously throughout their stay to monitor their progress and medication adjustments will be made when necessary.
After Care
We provide MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) for those patients who qualify which includes the Vivitrol injection prior to discharge if medically recommended. We also provide follow-up psychiatric and medication monitoring appointments for those patients enrolled in our IOP program. For those patients discharging from our program to another level of care, we make sure that they have a solid medical and psychiatric aftercare plan in place which could include telepsychiatry.
