professional interventionists

Intervention services help families of addicts convince their loved ones that they need help. Often after repeated, failed attempts to confront the addict or alcoholic on their own, family members turn to interventionists for help. While we have several team members with experience performing interventions, Harbor of Grace Enhanced Recovery Center can also refer family and friends seeking help for a loved one to several professional interventionists. Those patients will then be referred back to Harbor of Grace for their treatment.

What is an Intervention?

An intervention is a structured process that is generally coordinated by a professional who will assist the family by guiding them through the loving process of getting the alcoholic or addict to accept treatment for their disease. It is delivered in an organized fashion with a firm, but compassionate, tone to force the alcoholic or addict towards their “moment of truth” and to seek the help they need. Often, several family members will participate and assist the interventionist. Harbor of Grace only employs tactics that treat the patient with complete dignity and respect.

What is an Interventionist?

The interventionist is most often an outsider that facilitates the intervention event. They gather background information, including medical and substance use history. They interview the involved family members to assemble any relevant information that will assist in getting the alcoholic or addict into treatment, including their substance use history. After a thoughtful analysis, the interventionist will propose and implement strategies for an effective event.

How much does an intervention cost?

The price of an intervention varies and is based on geography, travel, and time spent preparing and performing the intervention.
