Extended Care

P8-2The Extended Care Program at Harbor of Grace Enhanced Recovery Center also includes continuous monitoring and 24-hour accountability in a structured living environment. Research has proven that most patients require much more than a traditional 28-day inpatient rehabilitation stay to build the foundation necessary to achieve quality recovery from addiction. Extending treatment by one or more months helps ensure full stabilization and resolution of any lingering areas of resistance and denial. Relapse prevention and family stabilization assume an even more prominent role in a patient’s treatment program. Education is de-emphasized in favor of the internalization of life skills and coping mechanisms our patients will put to use upon leaving an inpatient level of care. Significant time is spent designing a long-term recovery plan, including a likely step down to an outpatient level of care.

Harbor of Grace continues to admit new patients and can take calls 24/7. The health and safety of our patients and staff remains the top priority. As recommended by the CDC, Harbor of Grace has protocols and procedures put in place due to COVID-19, such as thorough pre-screening measures, a COVID-19 medical screening upon arrival, and limiting exposure to those who are not Harbor of Grace staff and patients. Medical Approval will need to be given by Harbor of Grace medical staff for admission. Due to the pandemic, all patient visitation will be suspended until further notice.
