Ken is a thirty-year veteran in the treatment field, which began as a member of the senior leadership team at Ashley, Inc. Ken joined their Board of Directors in 1999 and remained active on the Board until 2008. His personal recovery began in 1992 and while volunteering as a firefighter and a paid EMS provider, Ken was assisting various agencies with addiction related and mental health issues by providing peer support and coordinating placing first responders into treatment programs. His life’s dream of opening a center for first responders came true on Oct. 8th, 2015, when he opened Harbor of Grace. What began with one building and two employees, has grown to ten buildings and eighty employees. Harbor of Grace National Law Enforcement and First Responder Wellness Center has rapidly become the nation’s leader in providing mental health and substance abuse treatment for first responders.
