Cory was born in Havre De Grace, MD and raised in the Harford & Cecil County areas. Cory began his career with the Maryland State Police in 2003, first assigned to patrol at the Centreville Barrack on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Before finishing his State Police career as a Detective Sergeant in 2025, Cory worked in a number of investigative units as both a major crimes and narcotics investigator and supervisor. During his career Cory received over 20 departmental awards and commendations. Included was a Superintendent’s Commendation for saving the life of an emotionally distressed subject whom had attempted suicide in Anne Arundel County.
Cory is a grateful Harbor of Grace alum who enjoys providing peer support to first responders of all backgrounds. Particularly, Cory takes great pride in his work with the mental health programs offered through Harbor of Grace. Cory is also a member of the Harbor of Grace Rapid Response team.
Cory is the proud father of three beautiful daughters and an avid Baltimore Orioles fan.
