At age 17, an Army recruiter approached George while he was cutting school. A few placement tests and parental approval, he later jointed the Army. He began his military career as an Army medic and graduated from the U.S. Army’s Practical Nurse Course in 1989. He retired from the U.S. Army in 2003.
Like much of the Harbor of Grace family, George has been personally impacted by addiction. His cousin became addicted to crack cocaine and resorted to prostitution to support her addiction. She was later raped, murdered and thrown in the trash where her case remained unsolved for 16 years until two retired police detectives reopened the case and brought the perpetrator to justice.
Since 2016, George supervises the “midnight” nursing detail and is a great employee who receives many complimentary surveys from our patients. George is loved by all!
