Born and raised in Baltimore City, Phil Gentile has dedicated his life to serving others. A graduate of Baltimore’s Catholic school system, Phil began his distinguished career with the Baltimore City Fire Department in June 1990. Over the course of 34 years, he rose through the ranks, serving as a firefighter for 2 years, an emergency vehicle driver for 10 years, a Lieutenant for 3 years, and a Captain for 20 years before retiring in March 2024.
Phil’s leadership, experience, and commitment to public safety have made him a valued member of the team at the National Law Enforcement and First Responder Wellness Center at Harbor of Grace. Married for 27 years, Phil and his wife are proud parents of two adult children. His dedication to his family and community continues to inspire those around him.
