Scott served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. Scott enlisted in 1993 as an 11B, attended Airborne and the Ranger Indoctrination Program, before being assigned to A Co. 2/75th Ranger Battalion at Ft. Lewis, WA. He has multiple skill identifiers, awards and qualifications, led troops from the team to platoon levels and served with both Special Operations and Conventional Army Units. He completed four combat tours, one in Iraq (2003), and three in Afghanistan (2008, 2010, 2011).
Scott received his MSW at the Catholic University of America in 2018. He is in his final year at the University of Alabama, where he will graduate with a Doctorate of Social Work in the Summer/Fall of 2025. He has worked primarily in the clinical social work field, specifically working with military service members, veterans, first responders and their families. Scott has also served for over five years as an FF/EMT within the State of Maryland.
